For many teams in the NFL, the playoffs have begun, and all focus is on trying to advance. But those who failed to qualify are already looking at how they can improve their team for next season, and the Las Vegas Raiders are in that group. One name that has continually been linked to the Raiders is that of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

It is well known that the Raiders are in the market for a new quarterback this offseason as they have decided to move on from Derek Carr. Bringing in the greatest to ever play the position would undoubtedly make a huge splash and, hopefully, get the Raiders over the hump to that next level.

When asked about the recent reports linking him not only to the Raiders but also the Miami Dolphins, Brady brushed them off as the media needing to write something every day, via Jonathan Sherman of Dolphin Nation:

“I don’t know,” he said when asked what he’s made of the reports. “You guys gotta write something new every day, so just wake up and try to show up for my job.”

Brady has been around the NFL long enough to have dealt with all kinds of rumors and reports, so this is nothing new to him. But now that his offseason has begun, the plot thickens, with the seven-time Super Bowl champion saying the following about his mindset moving forward, via ESPN.

“I’m gonna go home and get a good night’s sleep — as good as I can tonight,” Brady said, adding that he has no timetable for making a decision. “This has been all I’ve focused on — this game. It’ll just be one day at a time. Truly.”

Both the Raiders and Dolphins would make sense for Brady if he chose to continue his NFL career elsewhere. The Raiders have two All-Pro weapons on offense in Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs, as well as a pair of players who fit the exact mold of guys Brady has thrived with in the past in tight end Darren Waller and slot receiver Hunter Renfrow.

It is obviously early in the process, as Brady’s season has just ended, but it would make a ton of sense for the Raiders to lock in on Brady and look to bring him in. Of course, Brady isn’t going to speak on it at this time, but once that time comes, Brady will do his due diligence, and the Raiders seem to have everything he likes on the roster.
