The Oakland Raiders have set the parameters for a dominant return to greatness for the 2017 season, favored as one of the top threats to dethrone the New England Patriots in the AFC. While their Las Vegas relocation took headlines in the immediate offseason, the acquisition of running back Marshawn Lynch has rejuvenated the city of Oakland.

Lynch has brought forth a rejuvenated mentality to the Raiders, with head coach Jack Del Rio stating the positives he has already brought forth. The five-time Pro Bowler joins an already explosive offense, headlined by Derek Carr, a top-tier offensive line and dominant receiving core.

The Oakland native has taken a leadership role by showing up throughout their OTAs, but decided not to practice with the team. However, the 31-year-old has now officially begun participating in OTAs. In a video courtesy of NFL Network’s Alex Flanagan, Lynch started participating in some running back drills:

After a year away from the NFL, the electric running back has a fresh state of mind and relatively healthy body. Behind a dominant offensive line, Lynch certainly has the capability of returning to his Pro-Bowl level, while aiding this Raiders team on the cusp of greatness.

With 73 career rushing touchdowns behind his belt, ‘Beast Mode’ has certainly gained the respect of his peers around the NFL, even after his retirement stint. Another video, courtesy of Jerry McDonald of the Bay Area News Group, shows him helping out his fellow running backs with some bursts:

Mark Davis and the Raiders have two years remaining left on their lease with the Oakland Coliseum, with a gap year before the expected completion of the Las Vegas Stadium. Although the city of Oakland has been left to recover given the circumstances, they are banking on the Raiders emerging with a Super Bowl victory.
