There is no question that the biggest need for the Las Vegas Raiders is at quarterback as it is impossible to succeed in the league without a franchise guy under center. The 2025 NFL Draft offers an opportunity for the Raiders to find their guy and while there are multiple potential options at the top of the draft, no one is more popular than Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.

Of course a lot of the attention Sanders receives is due to being the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders who is also his head coach at Colorado. But Sanders’ performance over the past two years has proven that his potential is immense and he could be exactly what the Raiders need.

It almost feels as if Sanders wants to join the franchise as well and those rumors aren’t going to quiet down anytime soon as the QB recently shouted out the Raiders on video after receiving a pair of cleats that were silver and black, via Mitchell Renz of Raiders Report:

As it currently stands, the Raiders are on pace to have a top-5 pick in the NFL Draft which would put them in prime position to take Sanders. If both sides are so enamored in pairing up, the Raiders could make moves to ensure he winds up in silver and black.

Sanders is currently leading the Buffaloes to a potential College Football Playoff berth as they are 7-2. Sanders is completing 72.9% of his passes for 2,882 yards and 24 touchdowns with just six interceptions and has looked every bit of a franchise NFL quarterback.

There are still a lot of moving parts before the NFL Draft comes along, but there is no doubt that he fits a need for the Raiders and if the two sides are locked in, it could just be a matter of time before Sanders is in silver and black looking to bring this team back to the postseason.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper thinks Raiders are best landing spot for Shedeur Sanders

Whether Shedeur Sanders winds up with the Raiders remains anyone’s guess, but ESPN analyst Mel Kiper feels that is best for both sides.

Kiper noted that in addition to the Raiders’ obvious need at the position, Sanders also has an existing relationship with Raiders part-owner Tom Brady. Not to mention even Sanders’ father has spoken about liking the idea of his son winding up in Las Vegas.
