The Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens are set to do battle Thursday night officially getting the 2013 NFL season underway in the Mile High City. As we countdown the hours to kickoff of the first game of the season, here’s a look at our predictions for the year.

AFC North: Cincinnati Bengals

AFC South: Houston Texans

AFC East: Miami Dolphins

AFC West: Denver Broncos

AFC Wild Cards: New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts

AFC Championship: Bengals over Broncos

Potential AFC Divisional Sleepers: Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns

It could be argued, heading into the 2013 NFL season, the AFC is the weaker of the two conferences. There may be a few heavyweights in the AFC like the Broncos and Texans, but the conference simply doesn’t compare to all the talent and potential of the tops teams in the NFC this year.

NFC North: Green Bay Packers

NFC South: New Orleans Saints

NFC East: Washington Redskins

NFC West: San Francisco 49ers

NFC Wild Cards: Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks

NFC Championship: Seahawks over Saints

Potential NFC Divisional Sleepers: Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Rams

Super Bowl Prediction: Seahawks over Bengals

Although the Seahawks are the popular pick to do some damage in the NFC this season, this conference is wide open. A case could be made for any of the division title winners picked above making it to the Super Bowl and coming out on top.

The AFC may still be competitive with certain teams potentially turning it around during the season, but we believe the next Super Bowl champion will be coming out of the NFC.
