The Las Vegas Raiders are being very aggressive in free agency as the front office looks to address the numerous holes on the roster. One area of need was at the wide receiver position as the Raiders went had little proven talent after dealing away Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline last year.

And the Raiders are taking a chance on a promising young player who has shown signs of breaking out, agreeing to a three-year deal with former Minnesota Vikings receiver Jalen Nailor, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Nailor is an interesting addition as the former sixth-round pick has been stuck behind Jordan Jefferson and Jordan Addison with the Vikings, thus never really getting the opportunity to really show what he can do. Though he has had moments and, despite the lack of opportunities, does have 10 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

He also had a career performance in Week 9 with his first 100-yard game of his career, finishing with 124 yards and a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens.

Tre Tucker was the only Raiders receiver with more than 35 receptions last season so the chance for Nailor to have a true breakout season will be there. Brock Bowers will still pace the pass catchers for the Raiders, but this is an under-the-radar signing that could pay dividends for both the Raiders and Nailor.

Raiders sign C Tyler Linderbaum to record-breaking deal

The Raiders are also working to improve in the trenches as they agreed to a three-year deal with former Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum, making him the highest-paid interior offensive lineman in NFL history.
