The Las Vegas Raiders have done a lot to build up their roster through free agency and the draft this offseason. There are still some holes, but overall the roster is in much better standing heading into the 2025 season. One question that still remains however, however, is the future of starting left tackle Kolton Miller.

Miller has been entrenched as the Raiders starting left tackle since being drafted in the first round back in 2018. However his contract runs out after this season and it seems to be a real possibility that the two sides could part ways.

Miller was not in attendance at the start of the Raiders voluntary offseason workouts with the belief being that he was holding out in hopes of working out a new deal. That has not come to fruition just yet, but Miller has since showed up at the offseason sessions, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk:

The Raiders posted pictures to their website that shows Miller taking part in stretching and other activities in a jersey during Monday’s session. Attendance at that session, like all the others at this point in the program, is voluntary.

The Raiders’ offensive line has been an area which has needed great improvement over the years, but Miller has been the one reliable piece at the most important position. With his contract set to expire it makes sense that he would be looking for an extension, but it is great to see him working out with the team regardless.

The question remains whether this will be Miller’s last year in the silver and black and the Raiders aren’t well equipped to handle him potentially moving on. The team did draft Charles Grant in the third-round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but he is more of a developmental project coming from FCS school William & Mary.

Miller’s contract situation is far from handled, but at least it looks like he will be around throughout the offseason programs and for the 2025 season.

Raiders draft RB Ashton Jeanty with sixth pick in 2025 NFL Draft

Kolton Miller will be part of the Raiders offensive line that has a new featured back to block for as the Raiders drafted Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty with the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Jeanty should immediately take over as the top back for the Raiders after nearly breaking the college football single-season rushing record with 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns while finishing second in Heisman Trophy voting.
