Raiders News: Marv Albert, Rich Gannon To Call Raiders’ Season Opener

Rich GannonThe NFL season is right around the corner. The Oakland Raiders are set to open up the regular season on September 8 in Indianapolis against the Indianapolis Colts and now we know who we get to listen to when the Raiders take the field.

CBS has released its official announcer pairings for the season and Marv Albert will be teaming with former Raider quarterback and 2002 NFL MVP Rich Gannon to call the Raiders season opener.

I can’t wait to hear a huge Marv Albert ‘YES!’ after a huge Darren McFadden run or Denarius Moore breaking free behind the secondary. And Gannon knows all about the Raiders legacy and history as he is one of the best quarterbacks the Raiders have ever had.

Spero Dedes and Steve Tasker will call the Raiders’ home opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.

Other announcing pairings for CBS include Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf, Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts, and Kevin Harlan and Soloman Wilcots among others.
