Arguably the biggest question in the entire NFL going into the offseason will revolve around the unquestioned greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady. Brady is a free agent this summer, free to sign with whoever he wants should he choose to continue his career. The Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets are all among the favorites to sign him.

Rumors about where Brady will ultimately end up continue to circle around the superstar quarterback. Brady, of course, announced his retirement last offseason before changing his mind, and even though the playoffs are still going, many wonder whether the Raiders or anyone else will wind up with Brady in their uniform, but he was not in the mood to answer any of those questions recently.

Brady appeared on his “Let’s Go!” podcast, and when longtime friend and national journalist Jim Gray asked him whether he plans to play in 2023, Brady snapped back via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk:

“If I knew what I was going to f***ing do, I would’ve already f***ing done it. I’m taking it a day at a time. I appreciate you asking. Thank you.”

It was very unlike Brady to snap like that at a simple question that any reporter would ask. Brady’s season is over, and he is a free agent that can sign anywhere. Coupled with the fact that he did announce his retirement last offseason and has been linked to multiple different teams, most notably the Raiders, and there are many questions surrounding his future.

Brady being unsure at the moment does make sense as his season only ended just one week ago, and he surely isn’t focusing on that just yet. But the way he went about answering that question was simply unacceptable.

That being said, there will be a big market for Brady, who will be one of the biggest prizes a team can add this offseason. Where he ends up is anybody’s guess, but the Raiders and others will look to do whatever they can to ensure he winds up on their team.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr doing ‘homework’ on potential trade destinations

Of course, the Raiders have a void at quarterback after deciding to part ways with previous starter Derek Carr. The team is exploring the trade market for Carr, but with a no-trade clause in his contract, Carr has the power to choose where he lands.

As such, Carr is reportedly already doing homework on potential teams who could have an interest in him and learning everything he can about them. The Raiders have until February 15 to find a trade partner, or they will have to cut Carr outright before his $40 million owed next season becomes guaranteed.
