There is no doubt that the leader of the Las Vegas Raiders is defensive end, Maxx Crosby. Crosby is the heart and soul of this Raiders franchise, and the star is absolutely beloved and respected by his teammates up and down the roster.

Cornerback Nate Hobbs is set to begin his fourth season with the Raiders and has seen the growth in Crosby not only with his skillset, but also as a leader and a person overall. And that inspires Hobbs as well, with the Raiders corner being sure to show Crosby a lot of love recently.

Hobbs appeared on The Rush podcast with Maxx Crosby recently, showering his teammate with a ton of praise for the energy he brings on a daily basis, and how he handles everything that comes with being an NFL star, via Carter Landis of Sports Illustrated:

“I’ve never met a player that comes with the same energy every single day and devotes himself to his craft and does it at that level,” Hobbs said. “With that amount of love, but at the same time, the amount of humbleness, down-to-earthness. You’ll go on his Story and it’ll be ten different clips, ten different teammates, not even teammates, ten different fans that tagged him. Most people in his position, they’re not paying that no mind, like, ‘Oh, that’s a fan.’ There’ll be a random fan in his jersey; he’s going to repost it. That’s the type of dude he is. That’s love, bro. It just goes to show what type of man he is on and off the field.”

It is one thing to be an absolute beast on the field and push your teammates to be their best. But Crosby also sets an excellent example off the field. As Hobbs said, the way he treats the fans and the love he shows are proof of why he is a cornerstone of this Raiders franchise.

Hobbs will be a crucial piece of the Raiders secondary this season as they look to take a step forward and dominate the opposition. And with Crosby setting the example and being the leader he is, there is no doubt that the Raiders will get absolutely everything Hobbs has in order to succeed.

Maxx Crosby helping Raiders 2023 first-round pick Tyree Wilson develop this offseason

Another example of Crosby’s leadership can be seen within the Raiders’ 2023 first-round pick, defensive end Tyree Wilson. After an injury set him back as a rookie, Wilson is looking to take a huge step forward this year, and Crosby has been pushing him all offseason.

Wilson recently spoke on this, noting that Crosby has been staying in his ear not only about his skills on the field but also what he is doing off it. Wilson added that Crosby has checked on him about his diet and recovery habits as well, ensuring Wilson is doing everything to be his absolute best.
