Heading into Week 2 of the NFL season, the Oakland Raiders are set to face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in their home opener at O.co Coliseum. Even though all eyes are on quarterback Terrelle Pryor, the kickers for both teams are starting to make waves.

Reportedly, Josh Scobee recently said Sebastian Janikowski roots against the Oakland A’s because he dislikes kicking on dirt on the field due to baseball games being played at the stadium.

Apparently, Janikowski wasn’t too happy about Scobee’s comments saying the following via Vic Tafur of The San Francisco Chronicle:

“I was pissed off,” said Janikowski, who was waiting for reporters at his locker. “That’s why I’m talking to you guys. I just want to get that straight.”

He said Scobee is lying, and that he attends A’s games “all the time.”

“Whatever he says just blows my mind,” Janikowski said. “That didn’t happen. Hell no. I just want to let you know. … I kicked 14 years on it, it really doesn’t bother me.”

Janikowski sticks by his stance as an A’s fan claiming he attends games often and will continue to when the team is participating in the MLB playoffs. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s any tension on the field or if Janikowski makes a point of it to call out Scobee at some point on Sunday before or after the game.
