The Las Vegas Raiders offense has been getting some buzz, as the potential for what this group can accomplish is very high. It’s not just the skill positions that got a boost, either. The offensive line should be improved as well, with rookie second-round pick Jackson Powers-Johnson expected to make a big impact immediately.

A consensus All-American and the winner of the Rimington Award in 2023 at the University of Oregon, Powers-Johnson is already slotted in as the Raiders starting left guard next to Kolton Miller. And he isn’t just ready to make an impact on the field, he is already embracing being part of the Raiders fandom.

The rookie recently spoke on this, calling Raiders fans the best in the league and believing his ‘psycho’ mentality on the field fits right in with how crazy Raiders fans are known to be, via Raiders’ official Instagram:

“I’m so excited. The best fans in the league. I like to play like a psycho on the field and to have fans all around the field that are just as psycho as you? I love it. Bring it. I fit right in.”

That style of play certainly fits perfectly with what the Raiders are all about and what the fans love to embrace. It also fits in with the style of play head coach Antonio Pierce wants for this team, which is a physical, hard-nosed one in which winning in the trenches is imperative.

The Raiders and their fans are hungry for this team to get back into the playoffs and become a true contender. This fan base is well known for being one of the most passionate and rabid in all of sports and someone like Powers-Johnson appeals to that in every way.

There has been a lot of talk about what this Raiders offense can be, but if the offensive line can’t hold up, what the skill position players are capable of won’t matter. Powers-Johnson should help immensely in that regard and looks poised to be a fan favorite very quickly.

Davante Adams believes Raiders have ‘dangerous weapons’

The Raiders’ top player on offense is undoubtedly star wide receiver Davante Adams, and he is excited about what he sees from the team so far in offseason workouts.

Adams says that the Raiders have a lot of ‘dangerous weapons’ on both sides of the ball while adding that there is excellent competition throughout the roster. Adams feels everyone is pushing one another and that will only make the team better.
