Raiders Video: Josh Jacobs Unveils Personal Ad Campaign With Kia

The emergence of Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was easily one of the few bright spots for this team during the 2019 NFL season, their final in Oakland.

The Raiders made quite the investment when they took Jacobs with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Fortunately, he has managed to fit the billing as a bonafide workhorse for them moving forward.

Jacobs’ upbringing made him one of the biggest feel-good stories of the draft and he solidified that notion with a stellar rookie season. His background has now served as the inspiration for his new ad campaign with Kia Motors.

Jacobs reveals the advertisement as a message to his younger self discussing what it will take to get to the NFL, via his personal Twitter account:

This was certainly an interesting and cool approach by Jacobs to pair the video with an interaction between him and his younger self on Twitter. His story serves as an inspiration and it is clear that he is about ready to tell it.

Jacobs managed to overcome plenty of difficulties during his childhood and was even able to somehow emerge stronger because of it. He has also made sure to take care of those that took care of him by recently buying his father a house in Oklahoma after establishing himself as a bonafide star running back for the Raiders.

Jacobs finished the 2019 campaign with 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns on 242 carries while tacking on 20 receptions for 166 yards through the air in 13 games. Although the Raiders filed to control their own playoff destiny down the stretch, he was still able to establish himself as the frontrunner for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

He will continue to defy the odds since his humble beginnings now that he has become a franchise cornerstone for one of the most high-profile teams in the NFL. Meanwhile, his story will always serve as a reminder just how much hard work and perseverance it takes for one to accomplish their dreams.
