The Las Vegas Raiders have signed linebacker Segun Olubi, previously of the Indianapolis Colts. Olubi was undrafted out of San Diego State and has spent his entire four-year career with the Colts.

Olubi will bring some depth to the Raiders’ linebacking corps which has been revamped with the signings of former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean as well as former Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker. But Olubi has primarily been a special teams star throughout his time in the league.

In 51 games in Indianapolis, Olubi has recorded 30 tackles on special teams, the most of any Colts players during his four years there. He also has two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two blocked punts in his career so far.

In 2025 Olubi recorded 11 special teams tackles to go along with a forced fumble and a blocked punt while appearing in all 17 games. He was one of only 13 players in the entire NFL to have at least 10 tackles and a forced fumble on special teams.

The Raiders have been the busiest team in free agency this season making a number of moves to improve in all three facets of the game. Adding the likes of Dean, Walker and Qwity Paye should help the defense be much better while center Tyler Linderbaum and receiver Jalen Nailor should bring some stability to the offense.

Often times special teams can get lost in the shuffle however, but the Raiders are ensuring that isn’t the case and adding someone like Olubi will help solidify this unit as well and make the Raiders a better team overall.

Maxx Crosby after rescinded trade: I’m a Raider

Without a doubt the biggest shock of the NFL offseason was the rescinded trade between the Raiders and Baltimore Ravens that saw superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby return to Las Vegas. And Crosby made his first statement since the deal fell through, proclaiming that he is a Raider.
