There have been a number of names linked to the Las Vegas Raiders as far as who could be the team’s quarterback next season. The franchise has made no secret about the need to find a franchise quarterback and one name that has popped up more than any other is LSU star Jayden Daniels.
Last season Daniels won the Heisman Trophy while leading the Tigers to a 10-3 record. He is a dual-threat player capable of beating teams with both his arm and legs and could be exactly who the Raiders need to take them over the hump and become a playoff team.
With everyone arriving in Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine, meetings are already beginning to go down, and the Raiders have apparently already had time with Daniels. According to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network, the Raiders were one of many teams to meet the LSU quarterback:

The Bears, Commanders and Patriots all make sense as they own the top-three picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, while the Giants select sixth overall. But teams like the Raiders, Seahawks and Saints all pick in the middle of the first round, which gives credence to the idea that the Raiders could be looking to move up in the draft.
To do so would cost the Raiders a lot, but if they believe Daniels is the guy to lead their team, it should be a price they are willing to pay. Daniels was absolutely unreal for the Tigers last season, completing 72.2% of his passes for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with just four interceptions while adding another 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
There are many routes the Raiders could go in the hunt to find their signal caller, but Daniels continues to be one of the most intriguing. Now it will simply be a matter of waiting to see if the Raiders will make that move.
Trade up for Jayden Daniels ‘on the radar’ for the Raiders
The idea of the Raiders trading up for Jayden Daniels has been rumored for quite some time, and it seems as if there is a legitimate possibility of that move happening.
A recent report suggested that a potential trade for Daniels is at least ‘on the radar’ for the Raiders, with the connection between Daniels and head coach Antonio Pierce being mentioned as Pierce was on the staff at Arizona State, where Daniels’ college career began.
