Everyone continues to wonder who will be the quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders next season. One person who is extremely interested in the answer to that question is Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams who is coming off an outstanding All-Pro season in his first year in Las Vegas.

With the team parting ways with former starter and Adams’ close friend, Derek Carr, there have been rumors and speculation about who will be under center next year. Tom Brady was the popular choice before he announced his retirement, and now Jimmy Garoppolo is being mentioned as well. But perhaps it could be a face that is very familiar to Adams in Aaron Rodgers.

Adams only added more fuel to the fire when a tweet asked what neighborhood Rodgers is moving to. This garnered a response from Adams that said simply one word, ‘mine’:

Adams being interested in a reunion with Rodgers makes a ton of sense considering the success he has had with him under center. Adams enjoyed five consecutive Pro Bowl seasons in Green Bay with Rodgers getting him the ball as well as two First-Team All-Pro selections. The two have great chemistry and connection and that would surely continue if they were to reunite in silver and black.

Rodgers also threw some fuel to the fire that he could be moved during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The star quarterback was asked whether he had any news to share, and he responded “I’m not going to San Fran,” which was met with plenty of laughs, but also led many to wonder if he is indeed eyeing a trade elsewhere.

The question is whether the Raiders would be willing to trade for Rodgers and exactly what it would cost to bring him in. At 39 years old it is unclear just how much longer Rodgers intends to play with there being a possibility that he chooses to join Brady in retirement this offseason. Teams, including the Raiders, are likely to be very careful in giving away multiple premium draft picks if Rodgers is only playing one more season.

But it does seem as if a potential Rodgers trade is a real possibility and if that is the case the Raiders are a prime destination, especially with Rodgers’ previous connection with Davante Adams. The franchise is looking for a new face to bring people into the stadium and take the Raiders to the next level, and Aaron Rodgers could very well check both of those boxes.
