The Las Vegas Raiders are tired of rebuilding and are looking to compete in a big way next season. The team already has a number of pieces that will help them do so with wide receiver Davante Adams being chief among them.

Adams has proven himself to be one of the best in the league at his position, but rumors have circled around him at times as a potential trade candidate. Adams has made no secret of his desire to win, and with the Raiders struggling in the two seasons he has been with the franchise, some have wondered if a team would be able to pry an unhappy Adams away.

The main team known to have interest is the New York Jets where Adams’ former teammate Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback. According to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network, Rodgers has been trying to recruit Adams to force a trade to the Jets, but the Raiders have no desire to move him:

The Raiders are looking to win now and trading away one of the best receivers in the NFL in Davante Adams would be the exact opposite move that would help that. Rodgers may want a reunion, but the Raiders are highly unlikely to play ball.

Adams has been outspoken at times, but it is only due to his great desire to win. But he has also been adamant that he wants to do so with the Raiders and is not looking to leave. He knows the Raiders really aren’t far off from competing the way they want and the franchise is going to be very aggressive in doing what is needed.

The biggest question mark on the roster is at the quarterback position as the Raiders know they need to find their franchise guy which will take everything to a new level and end all the talks about a possible Adams trade.

Raiders’ Davante Adams a fan of LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels

One name who has come up as a potential solution to the Raiders’ quarterback issues is LSU’s Jayden Daniels, who won the Heisman Trophy last year. The team would have to make a big trade to move up in the draft and take him, but he already has a fan on the team in Davante Adams.

Adams recently spoke on this, saying he doesn’t keep up too much with college football, but believes Daniels is someone who could come in and immediately make a difference at the NFL level
