Most NFL fans and experts consider wide receiver to be one of, if not, the weakest position on the Oakland Raiders roster. With Jacoby Ford returning to the fold however, the Raiders could be looking at the position as one on the rise.
Jacoby Ford returned to practice Monday and the young wideout is looking forward to getting out on the field and giving the team a spark:
Jacoby Ford says he has the speed and burst back; tried to come back too soon from hamstring injury earlier in camp; hopes to play Friday

When the first depth chart was released Ford was on the second line as either the third or fourth receiver. But with the emergence of rookie Brice Butler this preseason, along with Denarius Moore and Rod Streater holding down the starting positions, it could be an uphill battle for Ford to consistently see time on the field.
If Ford is to return on Friday as he hopes, he could be seeing time as a receiver as well as a return man so he will have ample opportunities to make a statement to the coaching staff against the Chicago Bears in the Raiders’ third preseason game.
