It’s no secret that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been difficult for everyone. For Las Vegas Raiders fans and NFL fans everywhere, it has been tough to imagine that there might be a delay or possibly no football in 2020.

However, those making the greatest sacrifices are the healthcare professionals working every day to combat this virus. Many men and women have dedicated their time to treating those with coronavirus to help stop the spread.

As a way to show thanks, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has donated meals to Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas. The hospital tweeted a video message from Crosby, announcing he had supplied meals for the morning and night crews:

Crosby has been fully committed to the Raiders and their new Las Vegas home since joining the team. Certainly his efforts and well wishes are greatly appreciated.

Crosby shared another video on his Instagram, showing him video chatting with some of the hospital employees:

Hey Y’all! As you know COVID-19 has turned our world upside down. I want to give a huge standing ovation for all the frontline workers at SunriseChildrenHospital in Las Vegas and Baylor Scott & White emergency hospital in My Hometown of Colleyville, TX. The least I could do was provide meals for the morning and night shifts at these two great hospitals for all the workers putting their health and lives at risk for the greater good. Your hard work and dedication to our communities doesn’t go unnoticed. You are the true hero’s of my hometown Colleyville, TX & new home in Las Vegas,NV. Thanks Palermo’s Pizza, Boston pizza & Palios pizza for helping me feed our true hero’s! Together we are stronger! @sunrisechildrenshospitallv @bswhealth

Crosby added that he also provided food for the employees of his hometown emergency room in Colleyville, Texas.

Although it may not seem like much, Crosby has stepped up to show the communities that matter to him just how thankful he is. During these tough times, it is important for people to come together and feel supported, and Crosby has done his best to do just that.

Hopefully, through the powerful work of healthcare professionals, Crosby can get back to work on the field and Raiders fans can get back to cheering him on.
