If there were any doubters about just how good receiver Davante Adams truly is, he silenced them all last season. Some may have questioned how much Adams’ success was due to him being paired with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but in his first season with the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams made it clear that he remains amongst the NFL’s elite wide receivers.
Adams finished third in the league with 1,516 yards and led the NFL with 14 touchdowns on his way to his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl and third straight First Team All-Pro selection. The NFL recently released their top 100 players list and Adams, as expected, came in pretty high at number 13.
Adams’ Raiders teammate Maxx Crosby had some big praise for him during the airing of the show, and Crosby doubled down afterward on Twitter as well, calling Adams the best wide receiver on the planet:
Best On The Planet. @tae15adams https://t.co/fV4LyUQ0OP

Whether or not he is at the top is a debate, but there is no doubt that Adams deserves to be in the discussion. His route running is absolutely top-notch, and his ability to get in the end zone is simply unmatched, as is evidenced by his touchdown numbers. Crosby may be biased on account of them being Raiders teammates, but he certainly has an argument. Of course, if we are going by the NFL’s top-100 ranking, then Adams comes in at number three behind Justin Jefferson of the Vikings and Tyreek Hill of the Dolphins.
Both Adams and Crosby are leaders on this Raiders team, not just by what they say, but because of the work they put in. Each works extremely hard at their craft and puts in a ton of work in the offseason. And that shows to their teammates and makes it easier for everyone else to fall in line when the best players are working at that level.
Crosby, like Adams, also landed in the top 20 of the NFL’s list, coming in at number 17 overall just a little behind Adams and running back Josh Jacobs who came in at 12. All three are certainly deserving of their placement based on what they did last season and the fact that they all were top-20 players is proof of the talent on this Raiders roster.
Of course, Jacobs’ future with the team remains in limbo, but if he is back on the field with Adams and Crosby, the Raiders have three cornerstones to lead this team, potentially back to the playoffs.
