Last season, Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby proved that he is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. Crosby was not only among the sack leaders but also lived in the opposing backfield and was just a menace despite battling multiple injuries throughout the season.

Crosby finished fourth in Defensive Player of the Year voting, and rightfully so, as he cemented himself as one of the league’s premier defenders. That is also shown in the latest ratings of EA Sports’ annual football video game, Madden 25.

EA Sports is releasing the ratings for Madden 25, and among the edge rushers, Crosby was tied for the third-highest rating, just one point lower than the top spot, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Crosby is more than deserving of the 97 rating he received in Madden 25. He is clearly one of the top defensive players in the NFL today, and what makes him special as an edge rusher is that he doesn’t only thrive in getting after the quarterback.

Crosby’s 90 tackles were the most of any player with at least 10 sacks and only Danielle Hunter was within 10. Additionally, Crosby led the NFL in tackles for loss, and the Raiders star was one of just eight players with at least 30 quarterback hits.

These Madden ratings also show the elite level of pass rushers in the league today, as there is a stark dropoff after the top five. Crosby, Myles Garrett, Micah Parsons, TJ Watt, and Nick Bosa are in a class of their own, and the rest of the league is playing catchup.

The Raiders are very fortunate to have Crosby as their leader. He is doing everything in his power to not only be the best player he can be but also to lift his teammates and bring this franchise back to greatness.

Raiders’ Maxx Crosby plans on having the best season of his career in 2024

2023 was the best season in the career of Maxx Crosby as he set career-highs in tackles, sacks and tackles for loss. But the Raiders star plans on going to another level in 2024.

Crosby said his goal is to be the absolute best in the world pound-for-pound and he has spent this offseason doing everything to ensure that possibility in 2024. Crosby added that he is exhausting every single resource to make sure he has the best season of his career this year.
