On the field, former Las Vegas Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch was one of the most fierce runners of the football of his era. His speed, power, and relentlessness made him an extremely difficult player to bring down and garnered him a huge fan base.

Even further growing his fan base was his personality off the field as well. Lynch’s personality has been on full display in several different projects and endorsement deals, and now the Amazon Thursday Night Football broadcast will get his unique dose of entertainment.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Lynch has agreed to a deal to join Amazon Prime’s coverage of Thursday Night Football:

Lynch will join the broadcast team as a special correspondent for the rest of the 2022 season, joining his former Seattle Seahawks teammate Richard Sherman on the crew. He will be on the pre-and post-game shows on Amazon, with his role expected to be centered on short, pre-taped segments that are sure to have some elements of comedy that Lynch has become known for.

Lynch spent two seasons with the Raiders during the franchise’s last two years in Oakland before moving to Las Vegas. He rushed for 1,267 yards and 10 touchdowns in 21 games with the Raiders, though his final year was cut short due to a groin injury, and he played just six games.

Even still, Lynch is one of his generation’s most revered and respected backs, with over 10,000 career rushing yards, two All-Pro selections, and five Pro Bowls while leading the league in rushing touchdowns in both 2013 and 2014. Now the Oakland legend will be back in everyone’s lives weekly on Amazon Prime every Thursday.
