The Las Vegas Raiders did well to add to its roster in the offseason and now will report to training camp in a couple of weeks to begin work for the upcoming 2024 season.

Las Vegas made a huge addition along the defensive line when they signed Christian Wilkins in free agency, pairing him with Maxx Crosby to form arguably the best one-two punch. Offensively there are still some questions as head coach Antonio Pierce is pitting Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell against each other for the starting quarterback job.

While the quarterback situation won’t be resolved until training camp, there’s at least continuity in the wide receiver room. Davante Adams headlines the position group, while Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker are in line to support him in the passing game.

By all accounts, Adams wants to stay in Las Vegas, but Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report suggested a three-team deal that sends the star wideout to the New York Jets while the Raiders get Amari Cooper and a first-round pick back via Aidan Champion of Sports Illustrated:

“Knox’s hypothetical trade entailed the Cleveland Browns getting the New York Jets’ third-round pick in next year’s draft and Jets offensive tackle Tyron Smith. Meanwhile, New York would get wide receiver Davante Adams, who would reunite with his former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Raiders would get the Jets’ first-round pick in next year’s draft, as well as Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper, whom the Raiders drafted way back in 2015.”

This would be quite the blockbuster as the Jets have continued to try to and pry Adams away from the silver and black and do just that in this scenario. Meanwhile, Las Vegas reunites with Cooper who had an up-and-down stint with the team.

There’s no reason to believe that Las Vegas would entertain shipping out Adams as they’ve rebuffed offers for him up until this point, though things can always change if he decides he wants out. However, Adams made it clear that he loves playing for the franchise and it’s safe to assume that he’ll be around for as long as he wants to be.

Davante Adams believes Raiders have dangerous weapons

Adams will have more help offensively this year as the team drafted Brock Bowers to pair with Michael Mayer. With more options in the passing game, Adams believes the Raiders have dangerous weapons that teams will need to gameplan around.
