Raiders News: Donald Trump Calls For NFL To Suspend Marshawn Lynch

The Oakland Raiders have had an up-and-down 2017 NFL season to say the least and Week 11 was no different as they were thoroughly thrashed by the New England Patriots, 33-8. The Raiders were held scoreless at halftime and the Patriots cruised to yet another easy victory.

At 4-6, Oakland is dangerously close to missing the playoffs but all attention was on Marshawn Lynch after he was caught on camera sitting during the U.S. anthem and standing for Mexico’s national anthem. The anthem debate in the NFL has been a hotly discussed topic since Colin Kaepernick started kneeling during the 2016 NFL season and has ruffled more than a few feathers along the way.

President Donald Trump has made it a habit to attack several people online for doing things he disagrees with and he took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with Lynch’s actions:

Lynch sitting is nothing new as the running back stated earlier in the year that he has been doing so for years. President Trump’s latest Twitter outburst is just another in a series of tweets aimed at discrediting the NFL and its players.

Jack Del Rio spoke to Lynch earlier in the season and stated he has no qualms with his veteran’s stance on the anthem. Regardless, the Raiders have bigger issues to deal with given their lack of success on the field.
