If there is one player who is extremely interested in seeing what the Las Vegas Raiders will do at the quarterback position it is star wide receiver Davante Adams. With the 2024 NFL Draft coming up, many are curious whether the Raiders will look to move up and potentially select a quarterback and once again, the team is being linked to LSU’s Jayden Daniels.

The interest in Daniels is to be expected as the former LSU Tiger won the Heisman Trophy last season, throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns while also rushing for another 1,134 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Daniels has the potential to completely change the fortunes of whichever team drafts him, and it looks as if Adams is on board with that. The Raiders star posted a picture of Daniels on his Instagram story in the midst of the team being viewed as one of the most likely teams to trade up in the draft:

In an Instagram story, Adams shared a photo of LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels with accompanying quote from the Heisman Trophy winner that “my résumé speaks for itself.”

ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported Thursday on SportsCenter the Raiders and Minnesota Vikings have been “most strongly” linked to a “big jump” up draft boards. Daniels could be Las Vegas’ top target if the team were to make an aggressive move.

If the Raiders truly feel Daniels is worth it then the team has to do what they can to move up. It has been seen recently that some rookies are capable of walking right in and being excellent in the NFL. Perhaps Daniels is one of those, as the dual threat is going to be difficult to contain.

For Adams, getting consistent quarterback play is completely necessary in order for him to thrive at his position. Even though his numbers dipped slightly compared to previous seasons, Adams still caught over 100 passes and surpassed the 1,000-yard mark.

Obviously, the final say will go to GM Tom Telesco, but it seems as if a couple of Raiders inside the building are locked in on Daniels, and it’s hard to blame them.

Raiders coach Antonio Pierce believes Jayden Daniels’ running ability will translate

What really sets Jayden Daniels apart from the other top quarterback prospects in this draft is his absolutely blistering speed which allows him the freedom to improvise and make plays in different ways.

Raiders coach Antonio Pierce believes that skill, the ability to run and move out of the pocket, will translate very well to the NFL, and if the Raiders were to draft him, they would need to put him in a position to show off that speed.
