As the Las Vegas Raiders prepare to take on the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, Davante Adams will put himself in elite company if he catches at least five passes.
According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Adams will join the likes of some prominent wideouts of the past, like Hall of Famer and former Raider Jerry Rice, after he records five more receptions.
#raiders WR Davante Adams needs 5 receptions to join Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald as the only players with 700+ receptions & 75+ rec TDs over their first 9 seasons.

In four games thus far this season in Silver and Black, Adams has caught 26 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. Although the team has struggled with only one win in those four games, Adams has lived up to the hype and quickly become Derek Carr’s favorite target in the passing game.
Adams and company will be put to the test on the main stage of Monday Night Football as they face the AFC West-leading Chiefs. Kansas City comes into this matchup with a 3-1 and is looking to make an example of the struggling Raiders squad.
As for Las Vegas, the team will have Hunter Renfrow back on the field this week, as well as Darren Waller and Denzel Perryman. Waller was dealing with a shoulder injury that shed some doubt on his status, while Perryman and Renfrow are returning from concussions.
As usual, the Raiders will face the Chiefs twice this season, with the second and final showdown set to take place on January 8, which will be the last game of the regular season for both teams.
