The Las Vegas Raiders have had a disappointing season, to say the least, one that reached a low point in last Thursday’s embarrassing loss to the Los Angeles Rams. But despite that loss, Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams continues to produce at a ridiculous level.

While Adams only totaled three catches for 71 yards against the Rams, two of those catches were unbelievable grabs that only a handful of receivers in the NFL could even come close to making. Even still, Adams remains on track to continue an impressive streak.

According to Aidan Champion of Sports Illustrated, Adams is on pace to finish in the top-five in receiving yards for the fourth consecutive season:

Adams is on track to finish top five in total receiving yards for the fourth consecutive year. He currently sits at third in the league with 1,247 yards.

He has seven games with 100-plus receiving yards so far this season.

Adams also leads the league in receiving touchdowns with 12, already having surpassed his total of 11 from last season.

Adams has been considered the premier wide receiver for the past few years, and his performance this season is just more proof of why. Even on a new team, in a new offensive system, he just continues to be unstoppable. The Raiders have been without their other two Pro Bowl pass catchers for much of the season in Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow, but that has done nothing to stop Adams from dominating the opposition.

The only two receivers ahead of Adams in receiving yards are Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. The fact that he has already surpassed his touchdown total from last season shows the chemistry between him and quarterback Derek Carr. Whether he can hold off Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who also has 12 touchdowns, for the league lead remains to be seen, but quite simply, Adams is amongst the elite.

The Raiders still have some roster building to do in order to help this team get over the hump, but one thing that is for sure is that Davante Adams is an absolute cornerstone piece of this franchise.
