In what has to come as a bit of a surprise, Denver Broncos LB Wesley Woodyard will not be fined for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor this past Monday, that caused Pryor to suffer a concussion according to NFL Insider Ian Rapport of NFL.com via Twitter:

The Raiders are already being investigated for their handling of Pryor’s concussion, but the fact that Woodyard avoided even a fine for an obvious hit to the helmet, on a quarterback no less, is pretty surprising considering the league’s stance on concussions at this time.
Last week, Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson was suspended for a hit to Darren Sproles. With the league putting such an emphasis on safety, it makes no sense that a fine wasn’t handed down.
It is looking more and more like Pryor will be unavailable for the Raiders for their Week 4 game against the Washington Redskins, and even though Pryor would like something to be done to the man who put him out, that won’t be the case.
