The upcoming 2024 NFL Draft will be of the utmost importance to the Las Vegas Raiders as they look to continue to fill out their roster with the right pieces to make a postseason run. With head coach Antonio Pierce at the helm and new GM Tom Telesco running the front office, nailing that first-round pick especially is a must for this franchise.

While there have been plenty of rumors about the Raiders potentially moving up, the team still currently sits with the 13th overall pick and what they choose to do with that is anyone’s guess. Quarterback remains a real possibility, but beefing up the offensive or defensive line could also be looked at, as could an addition in the secondary.

One of the top cornerback prospects was on display during Alabama’s Pro Day in Terrion Arnold. After the workout, Arnold was seen talking with Pierce and said that the Raiders coach told him that he liked him via The 33rd Team:

There is a lot to like about Arnold as he quickly developed at Alabama and was an absolute shutdown corner for the Crimson Tide last season. He allowed just four passes of 20 or more yards as the nearest defender with an opposing quarterback rating of only 50.7. Arnold was named a First Team All-American in 2023 after totaling 63 tackles with 6.5 tackles for loss to go along with five interceptions and 12 passes defensed.

The Raiders could certainly use a little more help in the backend of their defense, especially when it comes to creating turnovers as that has been an issue for the team over the past couple of years. There are a lot of directions the Raiders could go, but Arnold looks to be a player right up the alley of Pierce.

Raiders to meet with former All-Pro CB Tre’Davious White

The Raiders know that cornerback is still an area that needs improvement and they are not being shy in looking to attack the position.

The team is set to meet with former All-Pro corner Tre’Davious White whom the Buffalo Bills released earlier this offseason. At one point White was arguably the best player at his position in the NFL, but injuries have hampered him over the past three seasons.

The most recent was a torn Achilles White suffered in Week 4 of the 2023 season, so he will have to prove he is recovering well and ready to return to his previous form.
