The Las Vegas Raiders are set to usher in a new era at Allegiant Stadium in the 2020 NFL season after ending their time in Oakland at the conclusion of the 2019 season.

Las Vegas has spared no expense for its new $2 billion, 65,000-seat home located just off the Strip. After all, there are certainly no shortage of distractions in Sin City and its newest professional sports team is clearly doing whatever it can to make their presence felt.

This includes providing an in-game experience that is unparalleled to what the rest of the league has to offer. Among the amenities that the new venue is set to feature state-of-the-art video screen.

According to Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Allegiant Stadium will feature the second-largest video board in town:

The video screen slated to be installed on the side of Allegiant Stadium facing Interstate 15 will be huge — 27,600 square feet in area — but it won’t be the largest in Las Vegas.

That distinction belongs to the Fremont Street Experience Viva Vision canopy that stretches 1,500 feet long and 90 feet wide and covers 135,000 square feet.

But as freestanding signs go, the Allegiant screen will eclipse all others in Clark County. Sign plans submitted to Clark County show the video board is planned to be 80 feet tall by 345 feet long and is set to be attached to the outside of the $2 billion, 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium.

The Raiders’ brass has also revealed another intriguing aspect about the video board:

Although Raiders officials have not gone into detail about the screen, Don Webb, Las Vegas Stadium Co. chief operating officer, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal during a tour of Allegiant Stadium in November that it would be made of mediamesh and would not impede the view of those looking out from inside the stadium.

The new video screen in Las Vegas is expected to be similar to the one featured by the Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena. Not only will it provide a number of intriguing angles for those in attendance, but the technology will make it so that fans do not have to sacrifice having their view obstructed.

The Raiders have put an emphasis on providing an innovative watching experience while maintaining some of the mystique that they established during their days at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. It is safe to say that they have followed through on the hype with the sleek design of their new home. their only concern now is putting a product on the field that is worth watching for the fans.
