Last year Netflix introduced a new sports documentary series entitled ‘Quarterback’ that took the sports world by storm. The series followed Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, now with the Atlanta Falcons, and Marcus Mariota, now with the Washington Commanders, as fans got an inside look at what these players go through not just on the field but at home as well, really showing a different side. Now, that series looks to be expanding into other positions, and a Raiders star will be featured.
Season 2 of Quarterback is still in the works, but Netflix is also set to introduce a spin-off entitled ‘Receiver,’ which will follow the same concept, only following wide receivers, of course. Raiders star Davante Adams looks to be on board.
The Raiders took to social media to make the announcement with a picture featuring Adams to announce the new show that will be coming to Netflix soon:

The choice of Adams to be featured in the series is a great one for a number of reasons. Not only is he one of the best players at his position in the NFL, but he has an excellent story as well in looking to prove with the Raiders that his earlier career success wasn’t strictly due to having Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback with the Green Bay Packers.
Adams is also a very open and outspoken player who had no issues voicing his concerns with the Raiders’ current situation. He regularly pledges his loyalty to the franchise and desires to get this team back to its previous glory.
What other players could be featured on ‘Receiver’ is not yet known, though it had been previously reported that Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown was set to feature in Season 2 of ‘Quarterback’, so perhaps that will be moved to this show instead. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is also set to star in Season 2 of the original show.
GM Tom Telesco shuts down any rumors of Raiders trading Davante Adams
One thing that seems certain is that Davante Adams will be a member of the Las Vegas Raiders whenever this show does air. There were rumors dating back to last year’s trade deadline about the team potentially looking to move him, but new GM Tom Telesco ended all of that recently.
At the recent NFL Draft Combine, Telesco said simply, “He’s a Raider,” when asked about potentially moving Adams. Both sides undoubtedly see Adams as a Raider for the foreseeable future, and that should not change anytime soon.
