Every single year, avid NFL fans and gamers anxiously anticipate the release of the next Madden game. As arguably the most popular video game sports franchise, Madden is highly anticipated by not only avid gamers, but the actually players that star in the game.

Players are always curious what their overall ranking is on Madden and this time around a popular rookie on the Oakland Raiders wasn’t happy about being the lowest ranked wide receiver on the team. Rookie wide receiver Brice Butler wasn’t happy about the 59 overall rating, but Butler tweeted that he knows updates will be on the way:

Butler has made quite the impression on the Raiders’ coaching staff with the SDSU standout projected to be the third wide receiver on the team’s depth chart behind Denarius Moore and Rod Streater. Butler will likely be targeted in the offense plenty of times throughout the upcoming NFL season and as a result may be headed for a breakout year.

With the Raiders’ coaching staff still trying to find the right mix of players at the wide receiver position, Butler is definitely one to keep an eye on. Along with Butler, Streater and Jacoby Ford may also have a big season ahead.

It’ll be interesting to see if Butler’s preseason success will carry over into the regular season and eventually change his ranking on Madden 25.
