The Las Vegas officially announced the additions to their practice squad, and it includes wide receiver Marcell Ateman, tight end Nick Bowers, defensive back Jordan Brown, wide receiver Keelan Doss, kicker Dominik Eberle, linebacker Kyle Emanuel, defensive back Madre Harper, defensive end Datone Jones, cornerback Dylan Mabin, offensive lineman Erik Magnuson, running back Theo Riddick, tackle Kamaal Seymour, defensive end Chris Smith and linebacker Javin White.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic this season, teams are allowed to have up to 16 players on their practice squad. The Raiders currently only have 14, so there is room for two more additions.
The most notable names of the bunch include the two wide receivers in Ateman and Doss. Both have been with the Raiders for a couple of years now, with Doss, of course, being a favorite as an undrafted rookie on Hard Knocks last season.
The Raiders added a number of talented receivers to the organization this offseason though, so Ateman and Doss will serve as depth pieces.
Jones and Riddick are the two veterans of this bunch as they both have a ton of NFL experience. Jones was a former first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers but has seen his career head south in recent years so now much work his way back from the practice squad.
Riddick is a pass-catching running back, but with Jalen Richard and Devontae Booker on the active roster to back up Josh Jacobs, it would take an injury for him to be called up.
Perhaps the most intriguing name of the bunch is White, who the Raiders signed as an undrafted rookie out of UNLV. There was some that thought he would make the active roster after a strong training camp, but it is good to see that the Raiders were able to hang onto him to continue developing a potential future NFL linebacker.
