The Las Vegas Raiders offense has the potential to be one of the best in the entire NFL in 2024. Of course, a big reason for this is star wide receiver Davante Adams, but one addition who could take this offense to another level is rookie tight end Brock Bowers.

It was surprising that Bowers was available when the Raiders were on the clock with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. With the Raiders already having a promising tight end in Michael Mayer, last year’s second-round pick, no one expected the Raiders to double down at the position, but it was simply a matter of the franchise taking the best player available.

And now that he is in the building, Bowers is already turning heads and has got the attention of Adams. The Raiders star receiver believes the sky is the limit for Bowers, via Vic Tafur of The Athletic:

Bowers is one of the most decorated tight ends in college football history, being a two-time First Team All-American and two-time Mackey Award Winner as the nation’s best tight end. Adding him to an offense that includes Adams, Mayer, Jakobi Meyers and Zamir White gives the Raiders a ton of firepower.

Even though training camp hasn’t started yet, there is a lot of positivity coming out of the Raiders’ offseason workouts. The team is extremely hungry to get into the postseason in 2024 and are already pushing each other to be their absolute best. Bowers coming in and making a huge impact would go a long way toward accomplishing that goal, and Adams already sees he is capable of doing that.

Raiders TE Michael Mayer believes he and Brock Bowers will be ‘unstoppable’

Not to be forgotten, Michael Mayer showed some flashes as a rookie for the Raiders last season and is coming into his second year even more confident. He feels that adding Brock Bowers gives this team an unstoppable duo at the tight end position.

Mayer feels he and Bowers are going to be unguardable for opposing defenses, noting that Bowers is too fast for most linebackers and both are too big for smaller safeties to handle. Additionally, Mayer feels they will both dominate as run blockers and overall, the Raiders will benefit greatly.
