Raiders Video: Jon Gruden Thanks Allegiant Stadium Construction Workers

The 2020 NFL season is just around the corner, and that means a new era for the Las Vegas Raiders as they have left Oakland for the desert.

The construction of the Raiders’ new home, Allegiant Stadium, has been well-documented, and as the season inches closer, the stadium is nearing its completion.

With only a few finishing touches remaining, the Raiders recently posted a video of the inside of Allegiant Stadium and it is looking like one of the nicest new venues in the world.

The completion of the stadium wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of so many construction workers who essentially put their own lives on the line as dozens ended up testing positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) at some point in the last few weeks.

Their work did not go unnoticed though as Raiders head coach Jon Gruden filmed a video thanking all the construction workers and it was played for them on the stadium’s new video board that was recently installed:

Gruden filmed the video at his new office at the Raiders’ brand-new practice facility in Henderson, which is also nearing its completion.

The Raiders are set to open their new stadium when they host the Arizona Cardinals in their second preseason game. Their first regular-season home game will come in Week 2 when they welcome the New Orleans Saints to town on Monday Night Football.

In addition to the new stadium, there is also plenty of optimism in the Raiders organization going into the 2020 season due to the talent they added on the roster. The expectation is to return to the postseason this season, so it will be up to Gruden to get the most out of his young team and begin building for the future.
