The Las Vegas Raiders players have begun reporting to the team’s new practice facility in Henderson, meaning the start of the 2020 NFL season is just around the corner.

Things are obviously going to be different this year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and that includes how training camp is conducted.

Before players are allowed to hit the field, they must go through a few days of coronavirus testing to ensure that they are negative. Then, the league and Players Association agreed that players will be tested daily throughout the course of camp.

The Raiders’ rookies and quarterbacks reported first, so they have already passed all of the protocols and are allowed access to the team’s facilities. The Raiders recently posted their first video of the team working out, with Derek Carr throwing passes to rookies Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards, among others:

The Raiders also released this hype video to get fans ready for the 2020 season:

It won’t be long before the rest of the Raiders’ roster hits the field as well as they began reporting for testing at the end of last week.

That roster is perhaps the most talented the Raiders have had in years as they had a successful offseason, addressing a number of key needs in free agency and the draft.

Because of that, expectations are high that the organization can get back to the postseason this season for the first time since 2016. It won’t be easy, however, as the Raiders will have limited time together on the field to get everyone prepared for the season, which isn’t ideal when trying to integrate so many new pieces on both sides of the ball.
