After a disappointing 7-9 season last year, the Las Vegas Raiders made a number of changes to their roster this offseason in hopes of getting back into playoff contention in 2020.

A big focus was giving quarterback Derek Carr more weapons to work with as he had a revolving door at the wide receiver position in 2019.

They were able to add a number of talented players at the position through the draft and free agency, taking Henry Ruggs III in the first round and Lynn Bowden Jr. and Bryan Edwards in the third round while signing veterans like Nelson Agholor and Jason Witten.

Carr has been hard at work getting familiar with his new weapons this offseason in player-led workouts since they can’t have any in-person team workouts. Carr has been documenting most of his workouts on his new YouTube page, and his latest video featured him getting familiar with Zay Jones, Foster Moreau and Agholor:

Jones and Agholor are two receivers that have some NFL experiences but haven’t seen their careers pan out the way they had hoped. With Ruggs, Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow likely being the team’s three starting receivers, they will be battling for the No. 4 spot as well as adding depth to the organization in case of injury.

Moreau is coming off a significant knee surgery that cost him the end of the 2019 season, so it is good to see that he is on the field with his teammates looking healthy. Darren Waller is the team’s unquestioned top tight end, but Moreau proved to be a big red zone target during his rookie season, catching five touchdowns, and likely will see a lot of playing time again in 2020.

With training camp just around the corner, it is good to see the Raiders players are ready for the 2020 season. The preseason has been shortened from four to two games, leaving them less time and reps to get prepared once they report for camp.
