The Las Vegas Raiders are fortunate to have a superstar like Davante Adams on their roster, who leads a rising offense.
Adams originally requested to be traded to the Raiders to return to the West Coast and be closer to his family, but he also wanted to play with college teammate and friend Derek Carr. Despite the lack of winning and Carr’s eventual departure from the organization, Adams has remained committed to Las Vegas and has publicly emphasized that he wants to stay with the team.
The 2023 season was a down year for Adams compared to his previous campaigns, but that can be largely attributed to the lack of competent quarterback play and poor coaching. Still, Adams managed to play in all 17 regular-season games and recorded 103 receptions, 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.
Netflix recently announced that they would debut a new docuseries titled “Receiver,” which will take a look back at the 2023 season featuring five players, including Adams. The streaming service released a trailer for “Receiver” ahead of the July 10 release date via Netflix:
“Receiver” will showcase Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Adams and viewers will get an inside look at their lives both on and off the field during the regular season. In the trailer, Adams and the other players are seen narrating clips of themselves playing with their families.
Adams, in particular, notes that his goal is to be a superhero both on and off the field and also says he is the most competitive person on the planet. At the end of the video, there’s a montage of the players, and it appears Adams says the goal isn’t wins or losses but greatness.
The docuseries is produced by the same people who worked on Netflix’s hit program Quarterback, which followed a similar format. The series was a hit with fans, which ultimately led to a receiver version that will surely get plenty of views once it comes out.
Davante Adams believes Raiders have dangerous weapons
Adams had a strong year in 2023 but obviously needed more help in the passing game aside from Jakobi Meyers. However, Las Vegas did well to add more help this offseason as they drafted Brock Bowers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, while Michael Mayer is expected to take a leap after finishing his rookie year on a high note.
Ahead of the 2024 season, Adams feels confident about his team as he said the Raiders have dangerous weapons.
