The start of free agency has been productive for the Las Vegas Raiders as they have addressed a number of their team needs, mostly on the defensive side of the ball.
The big addition was linebacker Cory Littleton as he addresses a need that the Raiders have had for seemingly the last decade.
Their other big need is a true No. 1 wide receiver to give Derek Carr another weapon in addition to Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow, Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs.
Unfortunately, they have not yet been able to add any receivers through free agency to this point. The big name that’s available is Robby Anderson, formerly of the New York Jets. While the Raiders have been linked to him in the past, it appears they will shift their focus to the 2020 NFL Draft in their pursuit of a wideout, via Vic Tafur of The Athletic:
As far as Robby Anderson, the #Raiders liked him but decided to focus on defense in FA. As Mayock said, there are 25 or so WRs in the draft with a top-3 round grade.

As Tafur alluded to, this year’s draft is absolutely stacked at the wide receiver position, so it makes sense that the Raiders are going this route. They have two picks in the first round (Nos. 12 and 19 overall) and three picks in the third round at their disposal.
If the Raiders decide to use their No. 12 pick on a receiver, they likely will have their pick of the best available such as Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb and Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III.
Carr is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, and that was with a revolving door at the receiver position. The Raiders already have one of the best offensive lines in football, so adding that No. 1 receiver is the only thing left to complete what should be one of the better offenses in the league in 2020.
