It has been an eventful offseason for the Oakland Raiders as they immediately brought in Jon Gruden to be the head coach of the team after their disappointing 2017 NFL season. The Raiders were unable to replicate the electrifying offense they showcased during the 2016 NFL campaign and managed to only go 6-10 on the year.
With plenty of question marks regarding the roster, Oakland has several different avenues to improving the talent on both sides of the ball. The offense clearly underwhelmed this past season, but according to Peter King of The MMQB, the Raiders could be looking at Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell:
I’d guess he becomes a free agent and goes to highest bidder. Watch for Oakland. https://t.co/aGwXrtTISj

While this is purely speculation, it would not be a surprise for Oakland to chase after Bell given his production during his five-year NFL career. The Steelers running back is one the league’s marquee players and adding him to this Raiders squad would dramatically improve their ground game.
However, at this point in time, it is all just a fun thought exercise given that Pittsburgh will likely work with Bell and his team on signing him to a long-term deal. Between now and the 2018 NFL season, expect plenty of player movement for the silver and black as they try to get back to the top.
