The Oakland Raiders came one pass away from winning their first game of the season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Terrelle Pryor’s pass to Rod Streater was picked off in the red zone late in the fourth quarter leading to the Colts simply running out the clock in order to avoid the upset over a surprisingly good Raiders squad led by a promising young quarterback.

With Pryor racking up 112 rushing yards, the Ohio State product was able to set a franchise record and become the league-leader in that category with only two games left to be played on Monday night. Pryor was not only impressive with his legs, but also got the job done through the air. The second-year gunslinger threw for 217 yards and one touchdown, but was picked off twice with ill-advised passes in the red zone.

Despite the two interceptions, Pryor and the Raiders were impressive to say the least on Sunday and could have easily come out on top at the expense of Andrew Luck and company.

Only time will tell if a winning formula is coming together with Pryor at the helm, but it’s safe to say the future is currently looking much brighter than it was before heading into Week 1 against the Colts.
