The Oakland Raiders headed into the 2013 NFL season without high expectations as it has become clear the storied franchise is rebuilding once again. Although no one expects much out of this team, the Raiders played well in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts and appear to be optimistic moving forward.

In Week 2, the Raiders will take on arguably the worst team in the NFL in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Blaine Gabbert and company were only able to score two points against the Kansas City Chiefs last week and as a result have convinced many this team is going nowhere fast.

As for the Raiders, the showing against the Colts was much better than expected. New starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor put the team on his back and almost led them to victory at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Despite two costly interceptions, Pryor turned a lot of heads last week and intends to keep rolling in Week 2 with the Jaguars coming to town.

Week 2 will mark the first start for Pryor in Oakland. It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out with many expecting Pryor to be the team’s only hope for a decent season moving forward.
