Week 7 should’ve been the Las Vegas Raiders’ third consecutive win, but instead, they turned in an embarrassing performance against the lowly Chicago Bears.

The Bears were without Justin Fields, who is dealing with a thumb injury, and they were also without their top two running backs, Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson. However, their backups, Tyson Bagent and D’Onta Foreman, were able to carve up Las Vegas’ defense almost all afternoon.

It was a disappointing performance for the Raiders on both sides of the ball, as they got simply outplayed. Brian Hoyer did himself no favors starting in place of Jimmy Garoppolo, as he was picked off twice and later benched for Aidan O’Connell.

Following the loss, the rumor mill started to churn about a potential trade for Davante Adams, but Las Vegas is reportedly not interested in dealing the star receiver via Adam Schefter of ESPN:

The Las Vegas Raiders have informed teams around the NFL that they are not trading Davante Adams before the Oct. 31 deadline, regardless of how unhappy the star receiver is with the offense, league sources told ESPN.

The Raiders have made it clear to teams that they are not interested in moving on from Adams, even if the All-Pro is open to a trade, according to sources. Adams signed a five-year deal with Las Vegas in 2022 and was intended to be one of the centerpieces of Raiders coach Josh McDaniels’ offense.

Adams has not been happy with the team for a while now, and it sounds like other organizations are still checking in on the possibility of acquiring him:

Adams publicly discussed his frustration over his role in the Raiders offense last week, fueling speculation across the NFL that Las Vegas might wind up trading him. Sources confirmed to ESPN that there were teams last season that absolutely considered trying to trade for Adams, though it’s uncertain whether those teams reached out to the Raiders.

Other teams already have contemplated trading for Adams in recent days and weeks, according to sources.

Adams wanted to go to Las Vegas in order to be closer to his family and play with Derek Carr, but with his former teammate now with the New Orleans Saints, there are fewer reasons for him to want to stay.

The star wideout can probably only take so much more losing, and it’ll be interesting to see if he tries to force his way out.
