The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to make some massive upgrades during this NFL offseason, emphasizing the defensive side of the football. Although defense is the priority, the team will still look to improve the offense, with A.J. Green being a potential target.

The Cincinnati Bengals star has struggled with injuries over the years and appears to have played his last game for the franchise, making him an intriguing option for Las Vegas.

One thing Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been missing ever since the departure of Amari Cooper has been a go-to receiver downfield. If healthy, Green would be the ideal weapon for Carr, especially if the team can re-sign Nelson Agholor.

The team’s decision-making process with wide receivers during NFL free agency may simply come down to money. The team will presumably be focused on upgrading the defense and won’t want to spend too much on offense, but they’ll have no shortage of options, especially at wide receiver.

Along with Green and Agholor, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who has hinted at being done with the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been linked to the Raiders.

As for Green, the 32-year-old played all 16 regular-season games for the Bengals last season. He didn’t put up monster numbers but proved he can still be a threat in the passing game finishing with 523 yards and two touchdowns on 47 receptions.

Green made the Pro Bowl in his first seven seasons with the Bengals and will have an opportunity to get back to the level if paired with Carr in 2021.
