From Julio Jones to Aaron Rodgers, the trade rumors are getting a little out of control ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft with the Las Vegas Raiders right in the middle of it all.

It appears that Rodgers has had enough of the drama with the Green Bay Packers and wants out of Wisconsin. The news has rocked the league with the reigning NFL MVP ready to move on, and it seems he has the Raiders on a very short list of teams he’d like to play for next, according to Pro Football Talk.

The San Francisco 49ers are seemingly intent on moving on from Jimmy Garropolo with talk of the team using the No. 3 pick in the draft to select one of the promising young quarterbacks available. However, there’s been talk that the storied NFL franchise has been pursuing Rodgers to no avail.

As for the Raiders, this could become a tricky situation. Rodgers instantly makes the Raiders a better team, but the defense will likely still be an issue. Las Vegas will almost certainly have to sacrifice considerable draft capital to land the three-time NFL MVP.

On the flip side, the Raiders could make the mistake of letting Rodgers be traded to the division rival Denver Broncos. That means the team will be facing the gauntlet of Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Rodgers in the AFC West for years to come.

Although Derek Carr is coming off an impressive season and has received high praise from Jon Gruden and company, the prospect of bringing in Rodgers might be too good to pass up on.

With this news being extremely fresh, it’ll be interesting to see where the Rodgers saga goes from here and if the Raiders are truly in the mix to land an all-time great at the quarterback position.
