Raiders News: Trent Brown & Rodney Hudson Named To Pro Bowl; Josh Jacobs, Darren Waller, Richie Incognito & Alec Ingold Named Alternates

Tne NFL announced that Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Trent Brown and Rodney Hudson will be headed to the Pro Bowl this year while running back Josh Jacobs, tight end Darren Waller, fullback Alec Ingold and right guard Richie Incognito were all named as alternates.

The Raiders offensive line has been dominant this season, allowing just 24 sacks, which is the fifth-fewest in the NFL in addition to consistently opening big holes for Jacobs, so it is nice to see that unit get some recognition.

Brown has only played in 11 games so far this season, but his production was still enough to earn him his first Pro Bowl nod. For Hudson, it is his third Pro Bowl in six seasons with the Raiders. Both Brown and Hudson will be backups in the game.

After retiring and sitting out the 2018 NFL season, Incognito has looked as rejuvenated as ever this season and has become a bit of a leader on Oakland’s offensive line.

The AFC running backs that were selected ahead of Jacobs include Nick Chubb (starter), Derrick Henry and Mark Ingram. In Jacobs’ rookie season, he has already rushed for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns with 20 receptions for 166 yards in 13 games.

It is a bit fitting that he and Ingold were both selected as alternatives as the latter has been helping open huge holes in addition to the offensive line for Jacobs in the run game.

Waller is one of the biggest snubs in the AFC as he ranks third among NFL tight ends in catches (80) and second in yards (1,001) while scoring three touchdowns. Travis Kelce (starter) and Mark Andrews were selected ahead of him.

This year’s Pro Bowl is scheduled to be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 26, 2020.
