Raiders News: Trayvon Mullen Works Out With Chad Ochocinco

The Las Vegas Raiders have a busy offseason ahead of them as they prepare for their relocation to Allegiant Stadium in the 2020 NFL season.

Cornerback Trayvon Mullen is among those coming off a promising year after emerging as one of the few bright spots during the 2019 NFL season. It seems he has wasted no time in getting back to work to fine-tune his skill set.

Mullen is doing what he can to establish himself as a bonafide shutdown corner. As a result, he has recruited the services of Cincinnati Bengals legend Chad Ochocinco to help him out, via Twitter.

There are few players that could provide better insight into how the mind of a wide receiver works than Ochocinco. He was one of the best players at his position during his career and has not been shy about teaching the next generation a thing or two about trying to play man coverage.

Mullen is clearly taking full advantage of this insight in order to help elevate his game. The time he spends with Ochocinco should help to pay huge dividends for his development moving forward.

The former second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft has proven to be quite a steal after earning a starting job on defense and wound up serving as a stabilizing factor for this injury-riddled secondary. His progression even allowed the Raiders to feel confident enough to trade away cornerback Gareon Conley in order to make room for this elevated role.

Mullen has set the bar quite high for himself as he gets set to return as the potential anchor for this cornerback group next season. Going toe-to-toe with a former All-Pro like Ochocinco is a solid way to help kick things up a notch now that he is looking to take that next step.
