The Las Vegas Raiders have had a busy offseason, addressing a number of needs all around the field in free agency, and also the draft coming up.

Perhaps the biggest need of them all was linebacker as the Raiders have no even had an average linebacking corps in over a decade.

It was clear that they needed to add some quality linebackers to their defense, and they did exactly that by signing Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski.

While depth is still an issue at the position, they are bringing back a solid depth piece in Nicholas Morrow, per Scott Bair of NBC Sports:

Morrow was undrafted after college but signed with the Raiders in the 2017 offseason. Since then, he has appeared in all 48 games and even started in eight games during the 2019 season. With those eight starts, he had his best season to date, recording 73 total tackles, one interception and four pass deflections.

While it’s unlikely that he starts that many games in 2020, it has to be good for Jon Gruden to know he has an experienced depth piece in case any of the starters go down with injuries.

In addition to Morrow, the Raiders placed tenders on two other restricted free agents in quarterback Nathan Peterman and offensive lineman David Sharpe, so they will likely be back in 2020 as well.
