Raiders News: Reggie McKenzie Confident Offense Can Get Going

The bye week for the Oakland Raiders could not have come at a better time as the team is still struggling to find its way on both ends of the field. The Raiders managed to pull out a victory against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9, but still have plenty of questions to answer going into the second half of the 2017 NFL season.

The offense has surprisingly been underwhelming given all the firepower on Oakland’s roster. According to Jerry McDonald of Mercury News, he believes his team’s offense will find a way to put points on the board:

It’s obvious that some of the games that we lost we were not able to put up some points. We definitely need to get better there and find a way. We have some guys we feel like can get that thing done and that’s what they’re working on. We’ll get it done. We just have to be consistent in the way our approach is.”

The Raiders leaned on their offense during the 2016 NFL campaign to win them games and so far they have had trouble extending drives. It does not help that their defense is still giving up big plays despite the recent addition of NaVorro Bowman.

Derek Carr mentioned their Week 9 victory was much needed, but the team will need him and the rest of the offense to start performing if they hope to make a playoff push. For now, the silver and black can use their week off to rest and get ready for the remainder of the season.
