Raiders News: NFL Releases Preseason Schedule, Oakland Again Opens At Arizona

Well into the month of April, the NFL has sort of reached an impasse in relation to the offseason and free agency period. Now that the initial haul has passed, fans now anticipate last minute signings, training camp and the preseason. Now in the second month of the April, Oakland Raiders fans have been given their first sights at the 2017 season.

The NFL released their preseason schedules on Monday, putting some much needed anticipation towards next season. The Raiders roster remains in tact, with the captains and veterans understanding how close they were last season. The Raiders will split two homes games and two away games, per usual.

The Raiders open up the 2017 NFL preseason once again on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. The Raiders will now open up their preseason for the second consecutive season at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Oakland has now faced the Cardinals in three consecutive preseasons.

After that contest, the Raiders return to the Oakland Coliseum for their first game since the relocation news was announced. In an expected lively atmosphere, the Raiders will face off against the Los Angeles Rams in their first matchup since the Rams moved to California.

The third preseason game will flip-flop back onto the road, as the Raiders travel to AT&T Stadium
to face off against the Dallas Cowboys. It will mark the first contest between these two teams since they meet at the end of November in 2013.

The preseason will conclude back at the Oakland Coliseum, in a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. This marks the 12th consecutive preseason matchup between these two teams.

In fact, both teams have been heavily linked this offseason in regards to the Marshawn Lynch talks. Seahawks general manager John Schneider actually stated that he would be open to having trade discussions with Reggie McKenzie.

All preseason games will be broadcasted on the Oakland flagship stations and their radio affiliates.
