One week after the heartbreaking loss to the division rival Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders have suffered another major blow. The team will now be without cornerback Nate Hobbs for at least the next four games, with the team placing him on the Reserve/Injured List.

Recently, Hobbs took to social media to reveal he played through having broken bones in his left hand during the game against the Chiefs. Obviously, this is something he couldn’t bounce back from quickly, even with the bye week.

Losing Hobbs for a month will be costly, to say the least. Hobbs has quickly turned into one of the best defensive players on the team behind Maxx Crosby. He’s arguably the best corner on the team and will be sorely missed over the next four weeks when the Raiders play the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts.

Currently, the Raiders stand at 1-4 on the season following the disappointing loss to the Chiefs. Las Vegas desperately need to take a step in the right direction before the 2022 campaign becomes unsalvagable. Unfortunately, that task just got a little bit harder, with Hobbs being on the mend for the next four games.

Fortunately, the competition does get a bit easier over the course of the next month. Unfortunately, however, the Raiders have been wildly inconsistent this season, meaning there’s no telling if they can turn this thing around or whether it’ll be more of the same in the coming weeks.
